WHKS and Axiom selected to create
a complete Web-based resource center for Iowa DOT.
AMES, IOWA, USA —
Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa
DOT) recently awarded the project to develop a new Web-based
resource called "Project Automation Resource", to
a project team made up of WHKS & Co. and Axiom.
The purpose of the two-year project is to create
a centralized network for the highway design staff while staying
consistent with their highway design practices. The Resource
will be a comprehensive electronic guide, documenting and
standardizing the function of automation tools and processes
used to develop highway improvement projects for the Iowa
DOT Office of Design.
WHKS has collaborated with Iowa DOT for 45 years
and will be instrumental in supplying transportation design
experience, as well as overseeing the project's adherence
to the Iowa DOT policies and procedures. Axiom, the world's
most experienced developer of time-saving MicroStation software
solutions, will deliver the software development and technical
writing needed for the project.
