Q- All I need
is to find out which cells are being used in my design files.
How do I do that?
A- From the Global File
Changer main dialog, choose CUSTOM | REPORT ON CELLS IN
DESIGN FILE. Then you can choose the files to report about,
the cells to report about and you also have the option to
report each occurrence of the cells, or list the total number
in all of the files.

Q- I’ve got a
macro that I would like to run on about 1,000 files. Can I
do that with Global File Changer?
A- Assuming that you are familiar
with using Global File Changer KEY files (See CHANGER.PDF
for details), you can create a KEY file with the line MACRO
X:\PATH…\MACRONAME.BAS - Build your list of files to
process and the macro will be run on all of the selected files.

Q- I want to use
Global File Changer but the manual didn’t include a
list of your key-ins. How do I get these? (For V7 version
only)
A- The power of Global File
Changer is limited only by your imagination and your ability
to write key-in commands or user commands to do the things
you want done. With the exception of the special Axiom key-ins,
Global File Changer handles all of the MicroStation
key-ins. Anything that you can key-in to the MicroStation
key-in dialog can be used with Global File Changer
to change one or thousands of files. Click
