Q- I moved InstantDiskSpace
to another directory after I installed it. I heard that its
a Windows application and not an MDL application so I thought
I could move it. I get this strange looking error message
that tells me to call Axiom. I think that I did something
wrong, how can I fix it?
A- The licensing file AXIOM.LIC
with at least the license string for INSTANT must be present
in the same directory as INSTANT.EXE. Copy the AXIOM.LIC from
the the Axiom Base
Directory. That should get InstantDiskSpace running
again.

Q- When I use
the Axiom pull-down menu and I choose InstantDiskSpace,
all I get is a description of the product. It appeared to
have installed with the other Toolkit products. Everything
else in the Toolkit works, why doesnt InstantDiskSpace?
A- InstantDiskSpace
is not an MDL application like the other Toolkit products
and therefore doesnt load through MicroStation. InstantDiskSpace
differs from other Axiom MicroStation tools in that it is
executed from Windows. The optimum way to use it is to create
a Windows shortcut. To create a shortcut on your desktop,
locate INSTANT.EXE. By default, it installs to the C:\Program
Files\Axiom\V7\Instant directory. (You may have to search
your system if your installation is other than default.)
Once you have located INSTANT.EXE, right-click on it. Choose
SEND TO | DESKTOP (CREATE SHORTCUT). You should now have a
shortcut on your desktop which you can double-click to start
InstantDiskSpace.
