Wheelabrator Technologies salvages
16,000 reference file attachments with Axiom's MicroStation
software.
HAMPTON, NEW HAMPSHIRE,
USA — Wheelabrator Technologies Inc, a recognized
leader in the development, financing, and operation
of waste-to-energy facilities and independent power
plants, recently used two time-saving MicroStation utilities
from Axiom - RefManager and Title Block Manager
- to salvage 16,000 reference file attachments.
Using RefManager, Wheelabrator
repaired 16,000 reference file attachments that were
broken during the transfer of project design files from
Wheelabrator's project server to delivery CDs. Also,
Title Block Manager let Wheelabrator quickly
extract sheet drawing numbers and names from every design
file for easy reference.
"These tools enabled Wheelabrator
Technologies to accomplish over eight months of work
in just a couple of days," stated MicroStation
consultant Carol Mooers.
Jennifer Mann, an intern at Wheelabrator,
initiated the purchase. The day after installation she
commented, "It's already done what took me two
weeks to do by hand. Now I just tell the program to
do its thing and then I go off and do something else
for awhile."
