Axiom and Retrieve team up to distribute premier knowledge management system for MicroStation users.

CLEARWATER, FL, USA — Axiom, the world’s most experienced developer of time-saving MicroStation software solutions, and software developer Retrieve, Inc, recently announced an agreement for Axiom to market and distribute Retrieve, the premier knowledge management system.

Retrieve is a dynamic knowledge base that allows users to capture, centralize and distribute best practices, technical information, work flows, corporate documents and procedures via a Web browser interface.

Retrieve makes mission-critical data readily available to your staff at all times, facilitating the flow of information in your company.

Now users can quickly and easily get answers to technical questions, including answers unique to their work environment. Information that is typically scattered among printed or digital documents, FAQs, e-mail attachments, sticky notes or even in the minds of local gurus, may now be brought into one central location for easy access and management.

Retrieve is a scalable Web server application that:

  • Ensures users get full and complete answers to their technical questions.

  • Organizes all technical information, documentation, FAQs and so on in one, centrally accessible location.

  • Greatly reduces time spent looking for answers to technical questions, procedures and other information needed for production.

The Retrieve query engine supports natural language questions (ask questions in plain English), features automatic issue escalation, a built-in editor for updating content and an import utility for bringing in existing content in from Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF and many other formats.

Retrieve transforms static Intranet sites into interactive information centers. Users submit questions and receive answers from a database of information that can be updated and added to by the users themselves. Local experts can be assigned to specific categories, allowing them to update the knowledge base as information changes or as new issues arise.
