Meet Oscar Albornoz, a technology leader with more than two decades of experience in CAD/BIM software, quality assurance, software testing, technical team leadership and software operations.
Born in Illinois and raised in Venezuela, Oscar brings a bilingual, cross-cultural perspective to how he leads teams, supports customers and solves technical challenges.
The Axiom Journey
Oscar has been part of Axiom since 1999 and has served in a wide range of technical and leadership roles. He began as Director of Certification, helping ensure Axiom’s products were powerful, easy to use and ready for release. He later served as Vice President for Quality Assurance, focusing on product quality, usability and high standards across the team.
As Vice President for Technology, Oscar managed Axiom’s technical division and helped customers successfully use Axiom’s software tools. He also designed, authored and managed educational products for professionals in the CAD industry.
Today, as President of Axiom, Oscar leads day-to-day operations across software development, quality assurance, sales and marketing, hiring, team leadership and strategic growth. His leadership style is hands-on, people-focused and rooted in execution. He believes great software starts with great teams, clear systems and a shared commitment to getting the details right.

Between 1998 and 2005, Oscar studied Music, Audio Engineering, Computer Programming and Analysis, Information Technology, Quality Assurance and Software Testing, and Technology Management at St. Petersburg College.
Out of Office
Outside of work, Oscar is a father of three, musician, mountain biker, world traveler and multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, drums, trumpet and keyboards.
